password protected

i have a database that i am going to put on a drive that
several people have access to. i want to password protect
this 1 database that will prompt the user for a password.
i have never done this, so can someone give me step by
step instructions. there will be several people using
this, but i am guessing they can all have the same
password. i only want to prompt for a password on this
dba, not anyother one that is on this drive.

If you simply want one password for the database, I would not go through the
trouble of securing the database and making users log on. I would just
create a database password. Open the database exclusively and then select
the Tools menu/Security/Set Database Password.
