Password Protecting Cells

Hi Everyone,

I have a workbooke with 3 sheets, the sheets are called; "Bowl Assembly",
"Power Unit" and "Oiler"

I want to make the sheets "Power Unit" and "Oiler" read-only for everyone
but me and in sheet "Bowl Assembly" I want the colums a-j read only to
everyone but me and I want the columns k-t editable by everyone.

Can someone help me here...

Power Unit and Oiler are simple..............just tools>protection>protect
sheet with a pasword.

Bowl Assembly requires a bit more work.

Select K:T and format>cells>protection and unlock those columns.

Now protect that sheet with a password.

NOTE: Excel's internal security is very weak and passwords easily cracked.

Please follow following steps:-
1. Select the cell or range of cells that you want to make editable
2. Click Tool>Protection>Allow Users to Edit Ranges…
3. Click OK
4. Click Tool>Protection>Protect Sheet
5. Type password to unprotect sheet, then click OK, You can click on the
check marks to allow users do various operations with the cells.
6. Retype the same password and click OK
7. Now your sheet is protected.
