Password Protection dialog box

I have the following problem, when I try to open a password protected file,
the dialog box asking for the password appears just for one second and then
another dialog box appears saying that the password is not correct. It does
not give me enough time to type in the password. Is there any way to
configure a timeout for typing a password?
I am using Word 2007
I Appreciate your help
