Password required for address book

Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Every time I create a new email message and try to add recipients the operating system requests a password when typing in the names.

Are you using Kerberos authentication? If so, switch to regular
authentication and see if that makes a difference. Do this under Tools
--> Accounts --> your Exchange account --> Account Settings.
