Password Reset

Hi,

I've moved to a new machine and installed Office Ultimate with Groove 2007.

I had Groove working and yesterday when I tried to log in, I couldn't. So I
hit the forgot password button and it tells me a new password is being sent
to my email.

But that never arrives! (Yes my email address is correct and it's not in
junk).

So now I'm stuck on this PC. Groove won't log in and the password is set to
something I don't know. I have access to Groove on another PC and I've tried
copying the account file to the new PC, but it just says the account has
already been imported.

Any suggestions???

Right... I managed to find something useful here...

I don't know if the temp password ever arrives, but you can remove / reset
the account on the PC and re-transfer from another PC. Here's how:

1- Go to a PC with Groove on and save the account info to a file
2- Stop Groove (and I really mean go to task manager and make sure it isn't
running as a process)
3- Go to C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\Groove and
delete the account information there.
4- Open a command prompt and use Groove Clean with the -all prompt
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907854/
5- Double click the account file to start

It worked for me!! Phew.

Del... just follow exactly the steps in this thread and it will work.

You need to delete the account info on the PC AND run the Groove clean.
