Password secure folder

I want to create a secure folder (directory ???) that will contain several
sub-folders. I want to make the main folder password secure (not individual
sub-folders and files). Is this possible?

Actually, Suzanne, I was trying to accomplish the "secure folder" in the
Word program. I didn't realize that it is a Windows problem.
