You may be able to reformat the drive, clearing the
old files from it. Watch it though, because that erases
all of the software and files from the drive.

Try to reinstall Access on the computer. Deleting the
old copy of it.

If you can at all get to the contents of the C drive
of the computer, look for the WrkGAdm.exe file and the
system.mdw file on the C drive. If you have them, or if
you can have them copied to the computer, use the
Wrkgadm.exe file (double click on) to join the System.mdw
workgroup file. That is the original workgroup file that
comes with the Access software.
