Hello,

Is there a way of password-protecting a large number of .doc files
simultaneously, rather than opening each and using File/Save as ?

You could use a batch processing macro to assign a password to all of the
documents in a folder. Most of the code that you would need is in the
article “Find & ReplaceAll on a batch of documents in the same folder” at:
