I have a main master with the line space set to a multiple of 0.9.
I'm working through a presentation and happen upon a slide where the line
space is too tight -- turns out it's 0.8. Also, the font of the title was
wrong and the position of the main text box was a bit off.
I clicked the master, and everything fixed itself except for one thing: the
tight line spacing. I tried several times, and it never took.
Finally I changed it manually to 0.9. It would stick as long as I stayed on
that slide, but as soon as I would advance and come back, it would pop back
to its original 0.8. Okay, fine. It's an Office product.
I selected the text and inserted a new slide. I pasted the text as
unformatted text, and guess what? Its line spacing was tight. I tried it
(with a new slide) several times, and it was always tight -- 0.8. I finally
pasted my text into TextWrangler, copied it back, then pasted it, and it was
okay.
So it would appear there is some kind of formatting information pasted in an
'unformatted text' paste.
