Paste but keep the cell width/formatting

I'm trying to figure out how to paste information to a section of my
document without changing the width's of either area (the info I need
to paste is in smaller cells and there is information above the area I
need to paste in that the cell width can not change). Can anyone help
me figure this out?

Copy the data as usual. Select the area (or first cell) to paste into. Then
Choose Edit-paste special, and click on values. This will retain the
formatting of the destination, and only change the content.
