Paste Excel Table into Word

I thought there was a way to put an Excel table into a Word document. As a
last resort I'm doing a print screen (Alt + Print Scrn), cropping it in Paint
and then pasting it in Word. I have to add a bunch of little Excel tables
into Word documents. I don't know why they used Excel in the first place.
They are just simple tables that don't do anything, but now when I print
them, they come out with blue lines instead of black. Now I need to
compensate for the color printer calibration, but my limited software -
Office doesn't let me do a whole lot. I'm I mixing oil and water here?

If you just select a range in Excel and use a simple Copy/Paste into Word,
it will paste as a Word table. Whether there are borders in Word or not will
depend on the gridline display in Excel, I believe.

What's wrong with selecting & copying the Excel content, then using Edit>
Paste or Edit> Paste Special (then pick an option) into your Word doc? I
don't know about the "oil & water" thing, but you're sure goin' around your
proverbial a** to get to your elbow The detour your taking through print
screen & Paint are not just slowing you down but in all probability causing
the tinge as well.

I couldn't get the Excel's Headers and Footers when I copy the table. The
only way I can get the whole Excel Table with the headers and footers is to
view the Excel file in "Print Preview" and then take a "Print Screen" of
that. I know this is a really premitive way to do things. Can anyone tell how
I can copy an Excel file that includes the header and Footers? Sounds like a
new post.

Excel's Headers & Footers are only generated at the time printing takes
place - otherwise the "specs" are simply a part of the instructions within
the file. As a result they will not display when you link to a wkbk from a
doc.
