paste from clipboard into email body

in outlook 2000 i was able to copy something (for example, a graph in excel
or a slide from the thumbnail view in powerpoint) and paste it into the body
of an html format mail message.

i am now on outlook 2003 on a new machine and cannot paste or bring up the
office clipboard and paste (i do see the object in the clipboard).

please does someone know how to fix this problem or if i need to check some
settings?

There are some rare add-ons that can cause problems with the clipboard.
Try starting Outlook in Safe Mode (outlook.exe /safe) to see if the
problem persists. If not, disable all add-ons, one-by-one, to see which
one is causing it.
