Paste greyed out in Outlook 2007

I originally thought I just could not copy and paste TEXT into an Outlook
email. I now find I cannot copy and paste anything into an email. For
example, I cannot copy an email address and paste it into a new email. The
copy part is fine as I can paste it into MS Word. Using Office 2007
Enterprise and Vista.

The paste option is greyed out everywhere. Any ideas?
