Adding punctuation at the end of a declaratory statement doesn't turn it
into a question.

You also provide *no* information as to what versions of the OS and programs
you're using, how the "screenshots" are being obtained, or anything else...
it isn't even clear whether you're taking screenshots *of* Powerpoint
slides/window or copying screenshots *from* them.

Give people something to work with & perhaps you'll get your problem
resolved:)

Thank you for the replay. I am using Microsoft Word 2003. I am copying
screenshots from Powerpoint to Word. I hope this is helpful.

This is still innadequate information - in fact you aren't telling us
anything more, just phrasing it differently, so here's my "best guess";

The shots in PPt were apparently created in such a way that Word has no
information to go on other than 'space needs to be occupied by something'.

Long story short - when you copy the shot, go into Word but use Edit>Paste
Special> as Picture (Enhanced Metafile) or (JPEG). The pasted copies will
probably not be as sharp as the originals, but those 2 choices should be
better than any of the others.

What also makes it frustrating is that a simple Google Groups search in all
*word* groups for "red x" yielded well over a hundred responses, many of
which included a link back to the "RedX" page in the Word FAQ web site.

In case you haven't noticed the regulars in these groups gladly go far out
of their way to help anyone who asks, regardless of their skill level or
anything else. In order to do so, however, a certain amount of information
is necessary. If the poster doesn't provide that information it is a waste
of *their* time as well as that of the responders - which BTW is purely
voluntary. That particular post was basically the equivalent of calling your
doctor & saying "I don't feel good?" - what kind of help could you expect?

Please don't hesitate to ask anything... Just do yourself a favor & do so in
as complete and accurate a way as you are able. If there is any question
about how to participate, take a look at;
