Paste options button disappears

Hi, need some help...
When I paste content to all Office documents, the Paste options button does not appear. when I go to - Options - Advanced - Cut, Copy and Paste, and tick the "Show paste options button when content is pasted" it appears, but after a while, it disappears again.
any suggestions?
