"paste" remains greyed out

Hi there,

I'd be grateful if someone can help,I use :

Windows XP HOme
Office 2000 Premium Edition

Problem:

When I cut/paste from an excel/powerpoit/internet and
then open word- the"paste" is still greyed out. But if
word was already opened- it works fine. Tried
reinstalling windows and office- still doesn't wok.

Will be gratefull for feedback

Something third party is messing with your Windows clipboard. The add-in for
Works Suite is one known cause (but you shouldn't have that installed as you
are using Office). However, check for other third party add-ins for the
cause of this.
