paste special as link in powerpoint 2008 for excell charts

What happened to that feature it does not appear to be there. paste special as excel graphic... does not seem to maintain link.

What do you mean "What happened to..."? Mac PPT has never supported linking
for anything other than graphics & sounds. You can embed the copied content
as an Excel Object but you can't link to the source file.

Hi

There's a couple different ways to link your PowerPoint chart to an
Excel data source.

Remember that in 2008 the default way of making a chart puts you into
Excel. While in Excel you copy the data range from the source workbook
and the switch to the PowerPoint's Excel data range and then use Edite >
Paste Special > Paste Link to paste the source workbook's data range as
a link into the PowerPoint's Excel data range.
