pasted web page in word,it will not delete

I copied and pasted a census page from the LDS website
into Microsoft word and I can't get it to delete off the
page. Every time I get into the Word program it's still
there? Have gone through spybot, files,etc. looking for
possible cause but no luck. Even disconnected from the
internet hoping to break the link. I can connect into the
website from the page I pasted in word. Please help.
