Pastes link not image - new problem

OS 10.3.9 Office 2004
I believe this to be a new problem. Although I know this problem can
be fixed by using Paste Special/picture I was wondering if there was
something I could do to change the fact that everytime I copy/paste a
picture from the internet it pastes the link not the image. This is
really frustrating as I have a need to do this a great deal. My work
uses PC and I don't have to do that there. What's up?

Yes, you could make a macro to force the Paste/Special. However, getting
such a macro to work "reliably" is a bit of a fiddle.

It might be simpler to use a different browser, one that doesn't put the
link location as the default entry on the clipboard when you Copy. (e.g.
Use FireFox instead of Safari).
