Pasting and Font

I have Office 2004 for Students for Mac.
I love it except every time I copy and paste something from a different program, for example the internet, the text pasted is in the font Lucinda.
It doesn't matter where I copy text from, it always pastes as Lucinda. My default font is Arial. I've tried finding somewhere I can edit the default pasting options with no luck. I am so annoyed by this as I do a lot of research that requires copying and pasting and I am constantly re-formatting pasted text. Please help me! Is there a default paste font? If so, how do I change it? Thanks!
