pasting Chinese text

Does anyone know how to paste Chinese text into an English Word
document?

My defaults on Word are all American English, but I have installed the
traditional and simplified Chinese language packs, as well as Chinese
fonts with OS-X. When I have selected a Chinese font and have
selected Chinese from the language icon in my menu bar at the top, I
paste the copied Chinese text and it comes in as garbled symbols
instead of the right text.

When I paste the text into 'stickies' or 'mail' it comes in just fine.

If anyone knows how to do this, I'd love to know!

Hi Matt:

You can't. You need Office 2004.

Office X does not support Unicode well enough to provide the double-byte
characters you need to display Chinese.

Cheers
