pasting excel charts into word

Having created and formatted a chart in excel, the chart is automaticcaly
resized when I paste it into a word document as a picture and consuequently
loses the formatting which results in labels not being visible etc. Resizing
it within the word document doesn't help as it leads to distorted labels and
titles. This wasn't a problem for me with earlier versions but since I've
been using MS Office 2000 premium edition on Windows XP, it's been happening.
Any help on how to paste charts into word without losing formatting would be
gratefully received.

Have you tried pasting special (from edit menu) and pasting as an Excel
Chart Object? Then if it doesn't display properly -- you can double click
and edit the chart just as if you were in Excel.
