Pasting Excel Data into MS Project

Hi All,
I have created a table view (In Ms Proj 2002 Std) and am
populating it by pasting data from Excel.
It has about 40 rows, and about 12 columns.
For some reason, it pastes the data sometimes and not
others.
Eg. If I select 3 rows, it will work. But if I select the
40 rows, it just sits there.
I want to eventually write a macro to populate from this
spreadsheet weekly, but can't get the basic paste function
working manually. Any clues as to what I am doing wrong?

It is likely to be a problem with the contents of one of the cells.
To find out most quickly select the first half of the rows (up to 20) cut
and paste. If it works then select up to half of the remaining (ie: through
30), cut and paste. If it doesn't work select half of the amount you just
selected (25) cut and paste. Continue halfing until you find the row it
chokes on. Then select the first 6 columns of that row etc. etc.
When you find out what makes it choke see if there is a way to fix that
cell.
