Pasting Exel Tables

I am having very inconsistent results pasting Exel Tables into Publisher.
Sometimes it pastes fine, sometimes the paste menu item does not work,
somtimes it pastes unformatted text. Initially I was trying to paste more
than 128 rows and I fixed that. Then I could paste in two sections but the
two tables would overlap on top of each other. I have decided to break this
page into two web pages and paste one half into each. Now it will not let me
past the formatted table of any size.

I have tried it now. This function does not seem to have any options for
selecting a particular worksheet from within a workbook. It also does not
give an options to take a specific portion of a worksheet. Am I missing
something?

Thanks,

Jerry

I saved a single worksheet to a standalone workbook and was able to insert a
portion of the table I wanted. It cut off after 79 rows (rather than the 128
row limit) and the table fonts were a little distorted. This is getting
closer. However, in earlier attempts I was able to paste and get a much
cleaner looking table. I would prefer that over what I am now seeing with
the Insert Object, File command.

Any ideas on how I can do that?

Thanks,

Jerry

I don't know any other way. Do you need to be able to edit the table? Can you
copy part of the table and paste it into a Publisher table?

Ideally I could edit the table but at this point in time simply being able to
copy and paste pieces of the tabel would be fine. The frustrating part is
that I have been able to do this before and now cannot. When I copy, even a
very small, portion of the table and switch to Publisher, the Paste function
is not available and ctl-V does not work either. Sporadically I can past but
it comes in as unformatted text all in one box.

I am working with Office Professional 2007. Publisher came with that suite.
Although it does not look like a 2007 product as it still has File, Edit,
Insert, etc menus the About Publisher window says Publisher 2007.

I am using it to create web pages.

Now, after re-booting my pc, the normal cut and paste functions are working
with Publisher again. I'm not sure how long this will last, nor if I will
need to re-boot every time. This is the only application that is showing
this problem but I suppose I now have a brute force workaround.
