Pasting file attachments to messages

I noticed an odd "feature" recently when trying to send some image files to
someone. These were on my other PC so the easiest way to get them to this
one was to EMail them to myself.

There were five files FILE1.JPG, FILE2.JPG etc all different images and all
different sizes.

I received the message OK, still with five different files and images.

I then dragged the mouse across these five attachments and right-clicked COPY.

I went to my new message and right-clicked PASTE.

I got a message back to say that they had received five copies of the same
image but with five different filenames.

I managed to reproduce this when I tried it again a few days later but it
did not happen when I just tried now (as always happens).

I wonder if anyone has come across and what causes it - perhaps more
important how to avoid it happening.

I believe that is caused by too many files in the securetemp file. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/securetemp.htm


(I woulda hit forward on the message to keep the attachments then composed
the new message.)
