my workbook has 26 sheets of data
there is a summary sheet for all 26 pages.
on the summary sheet, i set up the cell links from the first data sheet.
then i select that row of cell links and copy so i can paste into the following row in the summary sheet. and the next row, and the next row, and so on.

when i copy my formula is this ='COST TEMPLATE (2)'!F1.
when i paste my formula is this ='COST TEMPLATE (2)'!F2.
and if i copy again, my formula is this ='COST TEMPLATE (2)'!F3

have to paste into 26 rows and 'A' to 'I' columns. it is tedious to have to correct each formula for each cell that i am pasting into. have new data each month. i will have to repeat this each month.

please advise.
thank you

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do and what you think is wrong.
But, you probably want to use absolute references. So, make your first
formula ='cost template(2)'!$F$1 then when you copy and paste it it will
still refer to F1.
