Pasting into dialog in Word2000

Hi,

In Word 2000, I bring up

Tools->Envelopes & Labels->Labels

I hit Ctrl-V to paste an address into the text box, and get a dialog
titled "Microsoft Visual Basic", containing the error message:

Run-time error '5977':
Cannot create a selection object when this dialog is active.

I have searched the Knowledge Base to no avail.
Can anyone assist, please?
