Pasting into specific coordinates

It would make my life a lot easier if Visio behaved like PowerPoint in terms
of copying a shape from one page and pasting it in another. In other words,
in PPT, if you copy a shape on one page, you can paste that shape into the
same location on other pages. Visio, however, also pastes things right in the
center of the page, which is a pain when designing and updating pages that
have elements in common.

So, in Visio (2002) is there a way to paste a shape from one page into the
same location on another?

Thanks for any help,
Mike

Yes, this is a common frustration. The simplest way to handle this is to
open the Size & Position window (in the View menu) and note the X,Y
coordinates of the shape before you copy. Then re-enter these coordinates
after pasting.
