Pasting JPEGs from 3rd party applications produces OLE objects

Hi,

I am trying to paste JPEGs imported into 3rd party programs such as Corel
Draw or Xara Xtreme into an Outlook 2007 message.

I find this produces an OLE object which is unsuitably large for email,
rather than the JPEG which was produced doing the same task in Outlook 2003.
The other Paste Special options produce WMF or EMF files which are also too
large for email.

In contrast, pasting a JPEG from another Office application such as Word
2007 produces a JPEG by default and a number of other formats are offered in
the paste special dialog.

So I have a couple of questions

1) Is there a way 3rd party applications can paste JPEGs into Outlook 2007
2) Is this OLE functionality, common to all Office 2007 applications, even
if Word isn't installed?

I know I can export a JPG from other apps, then import, however, I am
looking specifically to emulate the paste behaviour of other Office
applications.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Gids
