pasting problem

I am copying a frame that was created using autoshape. I
copy the frame to a new document (for customization).
When I paste the frame it is not in place as in the
original document but is placed in the upper left hand
corner of the document. Other people in my office do not
have this problem. When they paste, the frame is placed
in the appropriate location.

We have spent hours/days trying to figure this out. It
seems to be a settting but what setting and where?

Ideas?

Any wrapping style other than "In Line with Text" is the equivalent of
"float over text" in Word 97 and earlier.

Under Tools, Options, Edit tab there should be a box for you to choose the
default Paste behaviour of objects.
