Pasting rows in Access cause SQL to hang

Certain multirecord copy operations seem to cause serious problems for SQL Server. It does not happen everywhere, but certain forms (grids) it is very repeatable. the worst part is it does not just impact the user doing the Paste, but everyone using SQL Server, or at least that particualr database.

Do people know why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it? (Telling users not to do something only helps so much)
