Pasting special fonts

I have a text file I would like to have the same font and the same
size. I often cut and paste from the web. This causes a different
font and size. Can I paste something and keep the current font and
size.

Yes, you can. Simply click on Edit | Paste | Paste Special |
Unformatted Text. That should do the trick for you.
