Pasting Text Default

Geoff,

have you tried 'Paste Special'?

Copy your source material, switch to your document and
insert a [blank] return at the end of the paragraph where
you want to paste the text.

Select Edit\Paste Special\Unformatted Text.

This will paste the source text in with the default
paragraph font.
