Pasting text from Pocket Word causes a save error in Word 2007

If I create a document in Pocket Word, copy it to my desktop via Activesync
4.1 (where it appears as a Word 97-2003 doc file) then cut and paste the text
into an existing document created in Word 2007, Word reports a file
permission error when I try to save that existing document, so I have to save
it under a different name.
It is a minor irritation but it's clearly a bug, and I thought the whole
point of Beta programs was to get user feedback. But then when you click the
feedback button in Word you're taken to an Office Live site which only wants
feedback on itself. This is more irritating than the bug itself.
(I've also found some strange formatting behaviour on a laptop using the XP
tablet edition, but I'm not going to begin to explain about that.)

Hi Paul,

You can use the feedback tool from the link below to send your experiences with MS Office 2007 directly to the Office product team.

Can you open that desktop document directly without an error?

Do you get the same behavior if you use File=>Open vs double clicking the document on your desktop?

Do you have the same issue if you do the copy paste from a folder other than on your desktop?

It could be that there are some left over Word temp files about that are getting in the way if Active Sync has completed and
shutdown. Does using Start=>Search and sending files found with the string
~$*.*;*.tmp
to the recycle bin and then trying the same files make a difference?

The MS Office Pocket versions are developed independently of the MS Office product team, but the files, once converted to the 2003
format should work as Office 2003 files.
