pasting text or importing text into Quark

Can anyone help! Since we have updated to microsoft 2004 when we paste
text from word into quark express 6 it adds a paragraph mark after
each line (not necessary each sentence). If we import the text in
Quark from word it joins words together.

This is quite a major proplem and very annoying so if there are any
easy soloutions out there can any one let me know!
