Pasting Tif Image into Word Doc

Hi,

I am trying to cut and paste a tif image from Outlook to paste into a
Word 2003 Document. But each time, the whole image gets opened up. I
want to paste it as an icon like what I would get when I cut and paste
a pdf file from Outlook to Word 2003. The surprising thing is that I
can paste the tif image as an icon in my old version of Word 2000.

Can anyone help me? Thanks!
