Beatrice,

Do not run any patches that are e-mailed to you
supposedly from microsoft. Microsoft is not going to e-
mail out their patches, they would post them on a web site
and make you go get them. There is a virus call
Worm_Swen.A currently traveling through e-mail that sends
itself out as a patch from Microsoft. Delete the e-mail
and then empty it from your deleted items. DO NOT run the
attachment.

However, in the future, this is probably not the forum for
this question. This is probably better served in a
general microsoft forum, not the access forums.

Hope this helps.

Microsoft ***NEVER*** sends patches to you - if there is a patch available for
your version of Windows it will be available at Windows Update, which should be
available in your Start menu or under the "Tools" menu in Internet Explorer.

The file that you received via email is known to be a VIRUS, so DO NOT RUN THE
ATTACHED FILE!!!

No. DO NOT RUN IT. Microsoft NEVER will mail out patches. There is a
huge infestation of viruses on the Net, disguised in this way.

Use Windows Update to connect to Microsoft's website to get the latest
patches. ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!
