patch available for inspectors bug?

Is there a patch released for Office 2003 or Outlook 2003 that targets an
inspectors bug? On my machine, when the inspector is closed, the
olApp.Inspectors count gets decremented.

On another mahine, after the Inspector.Close event fires, the inspectors
count does not get decremented.

This is breaking my add-in code. Is there a fix available?

I have included system environment details if it helps.

On my machine, there are no errors, my machine has:

Microsoft Office Professional 2003 (612mb) version 11.0.5614.0
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (1.1.4322) (999mb)
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886903) (999mb)

Two machines, both of which experience errors:

machine1:
Microsoft Office Professional 2003 (356mb) version 11.0.5614.0
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (1.1.4322) (999mb)
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886903) (999mb)

machine2:
Microsoft Office Professional 2003 (443mb) version 11.0.6361.0
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (1.1.4322) (1,708mb)

On machine2:
1) Install Outlook add-in
2) Open Outlook application
3) Quit Outlook
ERROR: System.ExecutionEngineException has occured in .NET application

this is in addition to messing up the inspectors.Count.

Hi

Thanks for you detailed information.
Based on my understanding, the problem that the inspectors.count is not
decremented occurred on certian machine.
At a first glace, we can not confirm if this is a problen without further
troubleshooting.

Also the addin seemes to run OK on your machine, we assume the addin code
is OK.So far my suggestion is trying to disable all the other addins on the
problem machine to isolate the problem. If necessary, please also try to
reinstall the problem application.

It seems to be a machine specific problem, I think you may try to contact
MSPSS directly so as to create a dump on the problem machine for trying to
located the root cause of the problem. If it is confirmed as problem, we
will consider to provide a hotfix.

You may reach MSPSS via the link below.

this link does not work:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/support/default.asp

it takes me to:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/404/default.aspx

You should fix this as it appears to be the only way to get ANY information
at all regarding technical support incidents.

I have been waiting for a Microsoft Online Advisor for more than 10 minutes
now. And it took me nearly an hour to navigate through your site to try to
find information on the MSPSS.

Do you have a direct link, a phone number, you could provide, so that I can
stop wasting my time?
