I've copied the Office 2007 Enterprise CD to a Network installation folder.
I've copied KB924884.exe, the Outlook 2007 Junk email filter update, to the
Updates folder, where it's supposed to be applied automatically at the
conclusion of an Office installation. I've made only minor changes to
config.xml, adding only our company name and the PID key.
After doing a customized installation of Word, Excel, Outlook and
PowerPoint from this network installation, Microsoft Update shows that
KB924884 needs to be installed, i.e., it wasn't installed automatcially
during post-installation.
This is on a standalone (non-AD) system with WinXP Pro SP2, fully patched.
It's a fresh installation of Office 2007, all prior versions of office having
been deleted from this system.
FWIW, the file name for the patch is not simply "KB924884.exe", it's
"Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter Update - KB924884.exe". But that shouldn't
matter, should it?
