Patches galore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I,ve received what are suppose to be patches for Internet, Security etx 17
patched in the last few days.
They seem genuine , but the e-mail address they are sent from is a
"nonsense" , a jumble of words, numbers, symbols, which makes me never not
trust them. Also my anti virus software, qquaaraantines them all as
infections. Genuine or not ?. The Microsoft website is not helpful.

Martin,

These are definitely NOT genuine; they are a part of the current virus-storm
going on now and the attachments contain a rather nasty worm (SWEN). You
can and should delete these emails immediately.

FYI: Microsoft *never* - repeat NEVER - sends patches or fixes or any other
software as attachments to emails, so anything you receive like this -
currently or in the future - can and should be deleted.

hth,
