Hi,
I'm trying to patch an Office 2003 (SP3) admin install point with KB924423.
Microsoft's description for this update says, "This update provides holidays
for the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 calendar for the years 2007 through
2012."
After extracting the download's contents, I ran the following from the
directory the contents were extracted to:
msiexec /p OUTLHOL.msp /a \\SERVER\ADMIN_POINT_SHARE\PRO11.MSI /qb+ /lv*
install.log
The following error appears:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may
update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be
upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
Many other patches/updates, including SP3, have been installed successfully.
The Installation Details section of the KB article,
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924423, seems to suggest that the patch can
be applied to an admin install point.
Any ideas?
TIA,
Ron
