Patterned printing paper

R

Ron

Using XP Home, Word 2000, Canon Pixma MP110 printer. Trying to print a
document onto coloured, patterned paper. The text and clipart print ok, but
the pattern and colour of the paper show through the photo in areas which
are of a lighter colour than the paper.

Thank you
Ron

The lighter areas in the image print with less ink density relying on
'white' paper to show through. In your case the paper isn't white, so the
pattern is showing through instead. This type of job would probably require
special inks (commercial output) unless your printer has settings that might
compensate. Even so the question remains as to whether the absorption of the
paper will handle the job.
