Patterns for Object Fill Effects Do Not Remain in Place

E

EXPC75

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I have been using Word on a PC for years and just bought a Mac. I installed Office 2008 and have found a glitch I can't seem to figure out.

When I go to format an Auto Shape with a pattern, I can get the pattern and colors that I want to show in my document. I can even click the "Save" button and show the object properly in "Print Preview." But, when I close the document and reopen it, the pattern defaults to the upper left pattern of choices which is the 5% polka dot pattern. The colors and lines are proper, but it always switches back to that upper left pattern. The "Pattern" tab is the only issue. Gradients and textures all save properly and reappear properly when the file is reopened.

What would cause the pattern to always default to the upper left pattern?

Thanks in advance

The AutoShape Defaults are not saved.

It's a bug ‹ sorry about that. You will have to set them every time you
create or open a document.

Cheers
