"pausing" animation in organization chart to show a pic then conti

I am using an organization chart in PowerPoint presentation for 1st time.
Just figured out how to set custom animation so that each branch appears when
I click mouse. I have 4 levels and need to figure out how to delay the
appearance of the 3rd level so that I can add a picture (which I possess)
that will help audience understand the info I have on the first level (by
showing this picture), and then continue (picture disappears, followed by the
3rd level of the chart appearing when I click mouse.
For example.....say "NFL" is first level (the League). I click mouse and
then the 2 conferences "NFC" and "AFC" appear on second level. Then here,
say I want a picture of Peyton Manning to appear on the slide not connected
to the organization chart. His picture would be up while I talk for a minute
on topic. Then, I want the picture of Peyton Manning to disappear
(presumably by click of mouse), and continue with the organization chart. So
after Manning disappears, each of the 2 conferences (on 2nd level) then
branch into 4 divisions--"North", "South", "East", and "West"--for a total of
8 divisions on the third level. Then click mouse again and each of the 8
divisions branches into their respective teams for a total of 32 teams on the
4th level.
I have no problem animating the chart so that each level appears as branch
from level above when I click mouse. But I cannot figure out how to stop the
animation after level 2 to show the picture of Peyton Manning, or how to take
his pic off to continue the animation.
Sorry so long-winded, but 1st time doing this. BTW, my presentation is not
about the NFL....just an example.
Please help, though....very important seminar for potential job.

Hi Ernie

Don't worry about being long winded - the more information the better

Here is how I would do it:
1. Animate organisation chart by level (which it sounds like you know how to
do)
2. Insert -> picture from file -> browse to pic -> insert
3. Size/position picture
4. Right click picture -> custom animation -> add effect -> entrance ->
whatever takes your fancy (I'm a big fan of a fast fade, but that's just me)
5. With picture still selected -> add effect (not change) -> exit ->
whatever takes your fancy
6. Now comes the fun bit - in the custom animation taskepane expand the
organisation chart animation (little downward arrow) and drag the picture
entrance to between levels 2 & 3, then drag the picture exit animation to
below level 3 and change 'on click' to 'with previous'
7. Voila!
