Pausing inconsistent with movie playing

Here's a Big one!
I have this program set up for a presenter that has a
semi-consistent problem: First a graph comes up, then mouse
click to start video clip movie. During movie presenter
wants to pause, Hits the left mouse to pause, then hits
the left mouse to continue movie from where it stopped., at
end of movie hits the down key to go to the next graph then
the left mouse key to the next graph then left mouse key to
the next video clip movie and left mouse key to pause
during movie segments...
He has to hit the down key after the video segment becuase
the mouse key is the trigger to stop the movie while it is
playing and be ready to start from that point.

Anyway the problem is that every few times the first video
segment is played and is paused the movie clip restarts at
the beginning of the clip NOT WHERE IT LEFT OFF. The idea
is to have it start where it left off, which it does most
of the time. Can anyone help me? This sequence is
programmed into a custom animation ON CLICK play the movie,
Pause On CLICK. I am using WMV 9 movies. Am I missing
something simple? PLEASE HELP ME!

Why not put "Play, Pause, and Sop buttons on the slide to control the movie?
