Payment options for MS office software

Hi Folks,

Simple questions from a MS neophyte. Do I have to pay
the $400+ dollars for MS offoce 2003 (for my home
compter) upfront, or is there a payment plan.

I have been unemployed for some time now, but need
compatability with other people' software and Word
Perfect ain't cutting it.

A yes or no answer would be greatly appreciated, or other
suggestions are also welcome.

If you put it on a credit card then you could make payments.
If you are eligible for the student and teachers version you might look into
that version. It is quite a bit cheaper than the regular Office version
