I work on both PC and Mac platforms and I am having some trouble when I go
between them. The major issue involves graphs and charts. Here's a summary
of the problem...
When I open a file on a Mac that's been created on a PC, the program
automatically does a "Graphics Filter>converting Metafile" to each graph,
which can be very time consuming when there are numerous graphs in the
presentation. This would be a minor annoyance if the problem didn't stop
there, but there's more. The graphs look awful once the conversion is done:
pie graphs appear oblong and jagged, line and column graphs have labels
cropped on the bottom, line thickenss is off, etc. When I then open the
graphs and close it, they revert back to their original/proper look, but this
will not do. There has got to be a way around this -- especially for a
company like mine that uses both platforms extensively.
When I open a file on a PC that's been created on a Mac, the issue is less
severe but still a problem. All the pie graphs look jagged and
un-presentable. There is no fix either that I've found -- they must be
recreated to look fine.
Has anyone experienced similar problems? Have a solution?
