PC shutsdown when MS Word 2003 is started

PC shutsdown when MS Word 2003 is started while Lotus 123 file is open in the
background. The desktop just decides to reboot, no blue screen, no error
messages, no alerts. This does not happen if the Lotus 123 file (any
spreadsheet 123 file) is not open in the background.
