We have one person with a new PC with XP Professional and a newly installed
Office 2003. It cannot start up an existing Access application located on
the server unless no one else is running the application (e.g. there is no
..ldb security file) . When she can start up the application, it presents her
with an "Open File - Security Warning" dialog box where the Publisher: is
listed as "Unknown Publisher" and a statement that warns her about internet
files that may harm her computer, asking her whether she trusts the source of
the application.
If others are running the application, her short-cut does not respond in any
way and double-clicking directly on the file in Windows Explorer does not
respond in any way. All other PCs can bring up the application when someone
else is running it, e.g. the .ldb file exists.
Is there some switch on her copy of Access or some other setting on her PC
we can change to correct this?
