pc to mac cdrom

ok lets see,

What I need to know is the default cd-rom designation for the average
mac.

I'm using a windows based pc and have made a document(saved as htm)
that has an embedded sound file in it that I want to burn to a cd to
give to a friend who has a mac. now for a pc when I type in the
address for the sound file on the cd-rom I just type in d:\whatever
the sound.wav and no problem. but for a mac I don't know what the
equivalent of the "d:\" would be so if anyone could help me
here....I'd appreciate it.

so here's the address I would type in for it to work on my comp.

d:\bp.wav

what would a mac user put?

Burn as an ISO-9660 cd also you might add Joliet compatibility if they are using
OS9. ON OSX ISO-9660 is sufficent.

A Mac user wouldn't enter any address. Phillip Jones has already suggested
the CD format.
